DPC Greater Dayton

Welcome to the Doberman Pinscher Club of Greater Dayton Inc.

The Doberman originated in the later part of the 19th Century in Germany for its signature purpose: a companion dog for man. Over the years, the physical characteristics may have changed slightly as responsible breeders have worked to fine-tune Herr Dobermann’s original concept, but breeders today still esteem his ideal prototype: a companion that is sound in body, spirit, and temperament, possessing the necessary physical and mental capabilities devoted to protecting and providing companionship for his human family.

Our club was founded in 1971 to promote responsible ownership, breeding, and training for the Doberman. We are a chapter club of the Doberman national parent club, the Doberman Pinscher Club of America. Our club’s history, upcoming events, membership information, and important links to other Doberman-related sites can be found elsewhere on our site, and we encourage you to explore fully to expand you knowledge, understanding, and appreciation of this truly special breed.

Thanks for Visiting!
